Behavioral health services evaluation

Acumentra Health provides services to assist behavioral health programs and facilities with program and administrative management, quality improvement, psychiatric facilities review, utilization review of behavioral services, pre-audit compliance review, and clinical record review.

Child, adolescent, and geriatric treatment review

Since 1999, Acumentra Health has conducted federally required quality and utilization review activities for all Oregon Medicaid programs that provide inpatient and residential treatment to Medicaid recipients under 21 years of age or 65 and older for the Oregon Health Authority, Addictions and Mental Health Division.

Acumentra Health's qualified mental health professionals and psychiatrists work in interdisciplinary teams to

• provide admission, continued stay, and discharge review in a range of settings:
  • state psychiatric inpatient hospitals
  • assessment and evaluation programs
  • psychiatric residential treatment centers
  • psychiatric treatment facilities, including the Secure Adolescent Inpatient Program (SAIP) and Secure Children’s Inpatient Program (SCIP)
• conduct Certificate of Need for Services reviews for children and adolescents prior to admission to assessment and evaluation programs and psychiatric residential treatment centers

Acumentra Health staff also conduct certification surveys and complaint investigations related to use of seclusion and restraints in psychiatric residential treatment facilities for children and adolescents, on behalf of the Survey Unit of the Oregon Seniors and People with Disabilities Division.
